I live in a small apartment and I pay more for electricity than I did when I lived in a 3 bedroom/ 2 living room house! I had a company that I was very happy with, but I couldn’t transfer them to my new place because the town has chosen one company! I had my company for 9+ years! They had incentives for its customers! Although Tri County is very friendly and willing to help with everything connected to their electricity business! My previous chosen company also participated in Light Up America and this was a good program for low income senior citizens!
Expect a power outage every Category 0 rain. This power provider crumbles at the sign of a front on the horizon. Power outages of up to 2 hours with no updates. Plan on buying a backup system, candles, flashlights and batteries. They never take responsibility but point fingers. They blame third party contractors THEY hired. The management is non-responsive to emails or calls. I would be also if I was this bad at managing any operation this poor.
Tri-County Electric disconnected my service after mistakenly processing a disconnect request that actually belonged to a new neighbor. The company later acknowledged that the error was theirs, yet refused to remove the resulting $85 late fee from my account. What concerns me even more than the fee is the lack of safeguards in their process. No one attempted to verify the disconnect request with me by phone, text, or email before shutting off service. A simple confirmation could have prevented the entire situation. Mistakes happen, but companies should have controls in place to prevent customers from losing service due to administrative errors. I am disappointed not only by the error itself, but also by the refusal to take full responsibility and correct the financial impact it caused.
The worst company, sucks because where I live this is the only company that they allow us to have. If your power go out and there’s a power outage they take their time to get it back on. It’s like they don’t have an emergency crew to come and help.. They are a complete rip off… Stay away from this company. By far the worst experience the last two years
4 outages in one month. No break on the bill, outages lasting 1-1/2 to almost 3 hours on the first one. Half the neighborhood had power and half didn't.
